Conchur White releases his “Dreamers EP” on 18 June 2021, and sets out soon on a prolonged spell of touring. A headline show at Belfast’s Voodoo has just been announced for Saturday 18 December and is onsale now. Before that Conchur will tour as special guest to both Villagers and Margaret Glaspy in the UK and Ireland and will be making several summer festival appearances
Conchúr White’s Dreamers EP was written over a year and a half and recorded across various different studios in the UK and US. Conchur worked with esteemed producers Kevin McMahon (Frightened Rabbit, Real Estate) and Simon Dine (Paul Weller), with the EP later mixed by Matt Wiggins (London Grammar, Glass Animals, The Horrors). It was spotlighted recently in a BBC feature by the legendary Steve Lamacq ahead of release.
The Dreamers EP is the follow up to debut “Bikini Crops EP” released in 2020, also mixed by Matt Wiggins, and which brought him some significant airplay, including at BBC Radio 6 Music.
There’s a dream-like surrealism in White’s musical storytelling which he delivers with an understated theatrical manner - with lyrical influences including the likes of Father John Misty, Lana Del Rey, Alex Turner, and Charles Bukowski.
Hailing from County Armagh in Northern Ireland, Conchúr White achieved notable success in Ireland with his previous band Silences, who split in 2019. Upon parting ways, Conchúr felt an outpouring of creativity and began working on solo material. The Bikini Crops EP, and now the Dreamers EP evidence his inarguable talent as a songwriter
